Travel Required: Yes – travel between company-owned sites is required
Role Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer – Level 1 supports the routine inspection, maintenance, and monitoring of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within our data centers. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning a career in infrastructure operations. Under close supervision, the Level 1 Technician performs foundational tasks while gaining experience with mission-critical systems, safety protocols, and site operations in a 24/7 environment.

Infrastructure Support & Site Operations
Assist with daily walk-throughs, equipment checks, and system monitoring
Support preventive maintenance efforts under the guidance of senior staff
Support response to basic infrastructure alarms under supervision
Learning & Development
Participate in on-the-job training for MEP systems, procedures, and site protocols
Learn standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency protocols, and basic troubleshooting
Follow safety practices including use of PPE, hazard awareness, and lockout/tagout
Documentation & Safety
Accurately log maintenance activities, site conditions, and any observed issues
Keep infrastructure spaces organized, clean, and in compliance with safety standards
Participate in safety training and assist with the upkeep of safety-related records
Tool & Vendor Support
Track tool use and inventory; ensure proper handling and return of shared equipment
Assist with vendor access, escorting, and light on-site coordination as needed

Required:
0–2 years of experience or training in mechanical, electrical, or building systems
Interest in building a career in infrastructure operations or data centers
Ability to follow written procedures and hands-on instruction
Strong attention to detail and accountability in a critical environment
Ability to navigate mechanical/electrical spaces safely
Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
Preferred:
Completion of a relevant technical program or vocational training
Familiarity with basic infrastructure tools, safety practices, or facility environments
Physical Requirements
Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs
Must be able to access mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and confined workspaces
May be required to bend, crouch, reach, or walk the facility during the shift
