Summary

This position is primarily responsible for managing company inventory levels. Job functions include inspecting, receiving and storing parts, updating inventory sheets and records, pulling parts and sub-assemblies for work orders and sales orders, and working with our logistics manager to ensure proper fulfillment of orders and kitting for assembly operations.

Duties Include the Following:

• Ensure inventory levels remain between adequate and abundant at all times.

• Work closely with our purchasing manager to ensure items are being ordered in accordance with inventory requirements.

• Demonstrate strategy as it pertains to our minimum and maximum levels. This would look like adjusting min and max levels with fluctuations between product orders and company growth.

• Adjust inventory procedures and documentation in accordance with design changes and with a high attention to detail. Our manufacturing load can fluctuate between product lines. Levels may need to be adjusted accordingly.

• Maintain stock levels of non-inventory items and consumable materials, such as wire, nuts and bolts, adhesives, packaging materials and other items stored outside of the inventory cage.

• Compile stock control records and information such as consumption rates, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.

• Review stock to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock.

• Present strong discernment in a manufacturing and inventory environment with respect to quality assurance and accountability. This would look like thorough inspection of goods and vendor discussions if inaccuracies are found.

• Develop and implement growing inventory control procedures which may include the implantation of an MRP system.

• Create and maintain all components, sub-assemblies, part numbers and bill of material part numbers.

• Coordinate and prepare sub-assembly build kits for the fulfillment of work orders.

• Pull from stock and prepare all customer service parts orders with an attention to detail, accuracy and professionalism. This would look like ensuring all orders are packaged correctly and match current parts numbers, BOMs and drawings.

• Create, perform and maintain inspection of incoming materials and notify appropriate staff of potential quality issues.

• Ensure the inventory areas are extremely well organized and meet all compliance factors.

• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to address issues and problem solving with vendors, customers and co-workers.

• Support purchasing efforts with mechanical and technical knowledge. This may include identifying imperfections and changes with vendors.

• Demonstrate strong shop environmental and safety awareness skills and mechanical inclination.

• Demonstrate the ability to be present and focused, follow directions and work with minimal supervision.

• Resolve issues in a team approach.
